Dampen the sponge until it is completely saturated and squeeze out any excess water. Pour a small amount of liquid foundation onto the back of your hand, dip the sponge into the makeup, and begin applying it to your face. Do not rub or drag the sponge on your skin.

Instead, gently rub or blot the area until the foundation is completely mixed. Use the same technique when applying concealer under your eyes and cream blush on your cheeks. You can also use your sponge to blend cream contour products and liquid highlighter.
